September 23, 2019 2 min read

In celebration of sustainable design without compromise, Harth opens the House of Harth at Islington Square, London.

This radical two-storey pop-up gallery experience showcases furniture, design and art, all of which are available to borrow and buy.

We’re delighted to announce that a selection of Claire Gaudion rugs can be found at House of Harth and you can visit this incredible emporium to view, rent and buy them!

Harth is the world’s first furniture, accessories and art rental platform, founded by Henrietta Thompson and Ed Padmore, Harth is an innovative and sustainable approach to interior design.

“We are excited to bring a new twist to the traditional model of retail with an entirely borrow-able shop. The House of Harth is a playful exploration of how it is becoming possible to live more lightly, more sustainably, while still surrounding ourselves with inspiring design and art. We’re also really looking forward to using the space as a forum for discussion about the future and the sharing economy.” Henrietta Thompson, co-founder at Harth.

House of Harth has been curated by celebrated design studio, Campbell-Rey. The ground floor of the space is an inspiring showcase of design from selected Harth lenders: Established & Sons, A Modern Grand Tour, Atelier Swarovski, Gufram, Ali Robinson, Richard Brendon, Joyce Wang Studios, Claire Gaudion, Utopia & Utility, The Knot Collective, Novacastrian, USM and Att Pynta. All of the items on display are available to rent or buy. The space also features stunning paints and wallpapers by Graham & Brown and contemporary artwork curated by Alkë.

The upper floor of the space has been transformed into a fully functioning co-working space, the Harth Hub, and Harth plan are hosting a range of discussions around innovations currently impacting the way we live and showcase inspiring creative talent and interior design.
