We work with leading printers, and specialist weaving mills in the UK to produce fabrics of the best quality. Many of our fabrics are made using 100% natural fibres and there are a few points of note for best fabric care.
We use pigment and reactive digital print dyes which means that some of our printed fabrics and accessories are best suited to dry cleaning, and some are washable at 30°C. Our woven products are also recommended for dry cleaning to preserve their colouration and lustrous appearance. Natural fabrics can be susceptible to some creasing, and can be ironed on a low heat. Please take care not to over-iron or steam, as excessive heat may affect the fabric’s look and feel.
All natural fibres are susceptible to some colour fading over time. To preserve their colour, we recommend keeping items out of direct sunlight. Where fabric is being used for curtains, we recommend using a lining. Natural fabrics can also stretch slightly over time, but this is minimal.
Please note that natural fabrics usually have some inherent irregularities in the weaves and surface textures, and occasional slight print marks. These are normal characteristics of our fabrics.
For upholstery, we recommend using a Schedule 3 flame retardant interlining material with our domestic fabrics.
We also offer a range of polyester base fabrics and contract use fabrics for custom print orders. Please contact us if you think these would be more suitable for your project.
Due to variations in computer screens, we cannot guarantee that colours shown on our website are truly representative of our products. Also, while every effort is made to maintain consistency of colour from batch to batch, and for hand made items, colours can vary slightly.
When ordering fabric, please allow + / - 5% tolerance on all pattern repeats and widths.
