This aqua blue Ombré Rug has a beautiful nature inspired, tonal colour palette. Across the rug, teal blue blends into a paler mid blue, then an aqua green tone before becoming a sandy neutral. This ombré style pattern mimics the colours of the sea and the waves breaking gently on the shore.
This ombre patterned rug is handmade using a tufting technique in 100% New Zealand wool. This creates a luxurious cut pile which is wonderfully soft underfoot.
The natural properties of wool make it a wonderful fibre for indoor rugs. It is highly durable, naturally stain-resistant, anti-static and hypoallergenic. Wool is also inherently fire resistant, which is an extremely welcome characteristic for home decor.
New Zealand wool is also a good ethical and sustainable choice for rugs – it is sustainably farmed with good animal welfare regulations making wool a renewable resource.
