In the current issue of CRAFTS magazine - the magazine for contemporary craft - Emma Love asks leading makers to reveal their Christmas gift recommendations. We are very proud that British Sculptor Laura Ellen Bacon has our cashmere wool scarves on the top of her Christmas shopping and wish lists!
Claire and Laura met a few years ago and have shared a strong appreciation of each others work ever since. Laura Ellen Bacon has created works for private, business and public spaces, including Chatsworth, Somerset House, New Art Centre and Saatchi Gallery. Her work has also been featured in curated events for Sotheby’s, the Jerwood Space, COLLECT and Bloomberg. Most recently, Laura was shortlisted as a finalist for the Woman's Hour Craft Prize and her work is being exhibited at the V&A. The Woman's Hour Craft Prize is organised in partnership with BBC Radio 4 and the Crafts Council to celebrate the 70th anniversary of BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour. We recommend you visit the exhibition, 7th September – 5th February 2018 at the V&A. Further touring locations will also be announced soon. Find our more about Laura Ellen Bacon on her website.
