The way in which we see colours and process this information means we can often experience illusions of colour. How we experience a colour is dependent on the colour’s interaction with other colours. Here’s why this Colour Story works.
By adding the right shade of pink and a base of warm neutrals to the richer copper-orange and red tones, we create a much softer and more relaxed effect. Then, mixing in a gentle pattern to complement the woven designs, and some textured plain wools we can add more depth to the palette. An accent of natural tulip leaf green, and a contrasting dark wood or leather completes a really beautiful and balanced Colour Story.
How we see colours and textures is also affected by the lighting in a room, so whenever possible we recommend that you request fabric samples so that you can see the colours in the character of light in your home.
